In Loving Memory of Henry Clay Cox, Jr.

Henry Clay Cox, Jr. (58) also known as Hank, was born February 20th, 1962 in San Diego, CA. He is the only natural born child created from the union of Henry Clay Cox, Sr. and Lillian Gissendanner. He passed away from cardiac arrest June 24th, 2020. Although Henry’s life may have been cut short, he touched the hearts of many while he was with us. His infectious laughter, kindness, positive vibe, spirituality, unconditional love and friendship will be missed.

Henry loved life and had many hobbies. He loved swimming in his pool. As a child he took karate lessons. He played football with his family. His nickname was "Robert Tank Homes!" His favorite NFL quarterback growing up was Joe Montana. He now has added new QB favorites among which are Russell Wilson and of course Patrick Mahomes II, who he called "My Homie." As an army military child through his mom, he traveled around Europe. He taught himself German, and loved driving on his moped (motorized bike) exploring. Henry had a love for music and studied percussion. His high school band performed in competitions, and at a Cotton Bowl game. He was on the debate team. While in college at Drake, he created his own pop locking dance group called the Soul Fire Poppers. They performed at events and in clubs around town. Recently he became spiritual and shared scriptures daily with friends and loved ones.

Henry absolutely doted on his children, Corey and Codi Cox. They were his world and made him so proud! He worked hard to provide for his family. He started in HVAC and moved himself up into the consulting and energy management industry; became Operations Manager for a fortune 100 energy company and went on to run his own business.

Learning was one of the favorite things he did for fun. His accomplishments are as follows:

Recipient of 13 college scholarships ranging in areas of study from math, science, medicine, to music. He accepted a percussion scholarship at Drake University

Regis University:
Bachelor of Science Business Administration: Management,
(Magna Cum Laude)

Master of Science
(Graduate Honors)
