James Burnett Carney, age 92, of Ashland City, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Aileene Carney; brothers Tino, Fred, Gene, and Phillip Carney, and James, Robert, and Wendell Waller; sisters Sue Perry, Jeanie Smith, Mary Jo Cantarutti, and Judy Vaughn.

Survivors include his children Beverly Jean Roberts, James B. Carney, Jr., Brenda (Ray) McCarroll, Carol (Skip) Ramsey, and Calvin (Sandi) Carney; 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and siblings Nancy (Ted) Estes, Jerry (Dianne) Waller, and Randy (Vickie) Waller.

Visitation will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday, October 8th from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. and again on Friday, October 9th from 10 A.M. until the hour of Service at 11 A.M. with Pastor Mike Foraker and Elder Ed Sharpe officiating.

Interment follows at Joelton Hills Memory Gardens.
