Arlene Marie Martin, nee Raddatz, age 80, a longtime resident of Plainfield, IL, formerly of Bolingbrook and Chicago, IL passed away suddenly, on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her home. She was born September 12, 1940 in Chicago.

Arlene is survived by her children; Joan Kawash, Joseph (Donna) Martin, Peter Martin, Trish Martin and John (Michelle) Martin; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Piekarski, Zachary (Natasha) Fasken, Kaylyn Fasken, Kristin Martin, Sarah (Nate) Scullans, Katie Martin, Cansas and Kiera Martin, Gage and Brynn Martin; her great-grandchildren, Anthony and Martin Piekarski, and Kameron, Kali and Kaiden Marrow, and Michaela Scullans; her siblings; Patricia (the late Walter) Lomonof, John (the late Helen Raddatz), and Marty Raddatz; aunt of many nieces and nephews; and good friend to Carol, Betty and life-long friend to Barb Mcfarlane.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Alice Raddatz; her beloved husband, Franklin “Dale” Martin, wedded for 58 years; siblings, Tom, Cliff, Larry, Jim, Donald and Bobby.

Arlene was a member of the Red Hatters Club, the Knitwit club and long time member and heckler of Pastor Bill Beagle of Plymouth Congregational Church of Plainfield. Arlene was a 30 year dedicated employee of the Wrigley Gum Company.

Family and friends will gather Thursday, October 8th 4:00-8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544.

Funeral Service: Friday, October 9th 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
