A. L. Weatherman, well known resident of this city, passed away early Friday morning at the home of son, James Weatherman, in the northwest part of town.
Abraham Lincoln, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Weatherman, was born in Walnut Shade, Mo., January 1, 1861, and passed away January 30, 1953, at the age of 92 years and 29 days. In 1883 at Forsythe, Mo., he was united in marriage to Emma Rebecca Alms, who preceded him in death. Mr. Weatherman, a carpenter and stone mason by trade, came here from Branson, Mo., thirty-three years ago and had resided here since that time.
Surviving are five sons; Claude and Lester, Kansas City, Otis, Orange, Calif., Raymond, Williams Iowa, and James of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Cora Craig, Vinita, Okla., and Mrs. Edna Melton of Los Angeles, Calif.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, William and a daughter, Bertie Mae Fleming.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Walnut Shade, Mo.
Burial was made in the Walnut Shade cemetery.
