Chesapeake ~ Debra “Debbie” Sue Bowers died unexpectedly at home on January 27, 2020 in Chesapeake, VA at the age of 62. She was born on August 5, 1957 to parents Robert “Bob” and Dorothy in Danville, Illinois.
Debra was an accomplished crafter and often made gifts for her family and friends. She was a generous individual who loved others. She was passionate about flowers, the beach, birthdays and holidays. Her children remember their mother as kind, honest and determined.
Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Knapp and one brother Robert A. Bowers.
Debra is survived by her father, Robert “Bob” H. Bowers Sr. (Sue) of Indiana; daughters Kristina Syed (Ali) of Pennsylvania, Heather Herman of West Virginia, Kimberly Moore of California; grandchildren Steven, Bradley, Kaylah, Alexander, Jakub, Ella, Sophie, Humza; sisters Julie Maderazo, Tammy Bray, Cindy DeMille, Darla Jokinen; brother Robert H. Bowers Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00am Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Boulevard in Chesapeake, VA. Chaplain Washington will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Debra’s life.
