Douglas Allen Braden, 72, of Wichita Falls passed away on October 2, 2020.
Doug was born on May 20, 1948 at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas to Major Loyce Allen (L.A.) Braden and Julie (Thompson) Braden. While Doug and his family traveled extensively during his father's service in the US Army, Doug was a long-time Wichita Falls resident. Doug graduated from S.H. Rider High School in Wichita Falls and attended Midwestern State University.
Doug worked as an insurance agent until his retirement and was active in DeMolay where he was recognized with the Chevalier Award, the Legion of Honor, and the Guild of the Leather Apron. He was also a member of Maskat Shrine.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents as well as his younger sister, Nancy Braden.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Rosemont Cemetery in Wichita Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
