He was born July 31, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Benjamin and Ada Davey. He married Marilyn Kaufman on May 11, 1957 in Port Huron.
Mr. Davey retired from SEMCO Gas Company, served in the U. S. Army and was a lifelong farmer affectionately known as the "Corn Man" of State Road. He was a longtime member of Ross Bible Church and taught Sunday School for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Davey; three children, Debra (Harold) Cowper, Timothy (Debbie) Davey and Tamra (Brent) Barber; seven grandchildren, Apryl Cowper, Ashlie (Josh) Weatherly, Chip Cowper, Weston Davey, Chantelle (Chris) VanWyhe, Keith Barber and Katelynn (Cameron) Davidson; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Benjamin (Sharon) Davey, Ronald (Martha) Davey and Harry (Wendy) Davey; and several nieces and nephews.
