Ema Gaye Worthen, 77, of Henderson, passed away Nov. 22, 2011. She was born Dec. 31, 1933, in St. George, Utah. She was a 69-year resident of Henderson. She is survived by her dedicated, loving, best care giving husband of 60 years Clair Worthen; son and spouse, Bill and Carole; daughter and spouse, Bonnie and Rick Stratton; daughter and spouse, Brenda and Tom Toia; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Swenson and Dorothy Frook; and brother, Jim Cannon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Blanche Cannon; sister, Hattie Price; and brother, Barney Cannon. She loved her family and their place in Parowan, Utah, where so very many special family gathering that meant so much to her took place. Her absence will leave a huge void in our hearts, but her strength will forever be instilled in all who knew her. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 26, 2011, with services following, both at the Water Street Chapel, 400 Water S. in Henderson, Nevada. www.dignitymemorial.com
