Melissa D Chambers, age 51 of Bedford IN, left this Earth to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2020. Missy fought a hard battle with great strength and courage, she weathered innumerable obstacles. The harrowing trail that is ALS is one which she met with steadfast determination. She was born on May 3, 1969.

Missy grew up in Solsberry IN and graduated from Eastern Green High School in ’87. Missy was a member of the Job’s Daughters Stanford Lodge, where she served as Honor Queen for a term. Missy, who was famous for her lemon bars, enjoyed cooking, knitting, and growing her roses. Most of all she enjoyed being a wife and mother and spending time with family.

Missy was preceded in death by Grandparents, Raymond J Fowler; Virgil L and Joann Sexton and Ethel McKenzie; Uncles, Gary L. Covey, Jeff Sexton and Richard Fowler; Aunt, Rebecca J Covey and Step-Brother, Christopher H. Baker.

Missy is survived by her Husband, Gregory V. Chambers; Daughter, Kristen N Fowler of Ellettsville IN and Sons, Caiden V. Chambers and Clark L.J. Chambers; Grandmother, A. Virginia Fowler of Ellettsville, IN; Parents, Raymond (Linda) C Fowler of Solsberry, IN and M. Ruth Sexton of Ellettsville IN; Sisters, Angela (John) R. Huber and Stephanie (Bill) R. Baxter both of Ellettsville IN; Step-Sister, Michelle L Crysal; Mother-in-Law, Susie (Rob) Chambers of Bedford IN; Sisters-in-Law Melissa (Charles) Baker of Ellettsville IN and Alyssa (Austin) May; Brother-in-Law, Matthew (Timber) Chambers as well as extended family and friends.

A Graveside service for Missy will be Friday October 1, 2020 2:00 p.m. at Smithville Christian Church Cemetery with Bro Johnny Edwards officiating. Visitation for Missy will be Friday October 1, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville.
