Annie Lou Powe Roberts was born October 31, 1934 to Elias "Buddy" Powe and Henry Mosley Powe in Kemper County, MS.

During her youth, she joined New Hope United Methodist Church in DeKalb, MS. She was a 1954 graduate of Whisenton High School in DeKalb, MS.

On October 12, 1955, she married Everett Paul Roberts, the son of Henry Horace Roberts and Mary Anderson Roberts, who was also a native of Kemper County, MS. One child, a son, was born to their union.

After reaching young adulthood and marrying, she moved to Flint, Genesee County, MI and joined Vernon Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was also a member of the Cooks Women Missionary Society for many years until she was unable to attend.

She was a resident of Flint, Genesee County, MI for 66 years. She was employed as a Production Worker with AC Spark Plug which was a Division of General Motors Corporation for 28 years.

She loved her immediate family intensely. People would always say how sweet she was, especially people who worked in the medical community. She loved flowers, growing flowers, gardening, and listening to christian broadcasting especially Joyce Meyers. She also loved to wear hats to match her outfits.

She died October 4, 2020 at the age of 85.

She was the Wife of Everett Paul Roberts; the Mother of Everett Irvin Roberts; the Paternal Grandmother of Tanisha Nicole Roberts and Everett Corey Roberts; the Daughter of Elias "Buddy" Powe and Mrs. Henry Mosley Powe; the Sister of Johnny B. Powe, Odie C. Powe, L.D. Powe, Obbie Earl Powe Tyson, Vinnie Powe, and James William Powe; the Paternal Granddaughter of Emanuel "E.W." Powe and Lou Della "L.D." Hickman Powe; and the Maternal Granddaughter of Henry Mosley and Ann McQuarters Mosley.
