His funeral service will be 11 AM Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Mabry and Rev. Rufus Fulcher officiating.
Burial will follow in the Oakboro Cemetery.
Born April 3, 1944 in Montgomery County, NC, he was the son of the late Moses Franklin Bruton and Carolyn Greene Bruton and retired as a floral deliveryman with Harwood’s Florist.
Mr. Bruton was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy. He was also a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of the VFW, AmVets and the Moose Lodge in Shallotte, NC.
Frankie loved people and always had a smile and a joke to share with everyone he met.
Mr. Bruton is survived by his loving wife Brenda Smith Bruton, sons Shawn Bruton of Badin, Joseph Bruton of Asheboro and Victor Crisco and wife Julie of Albemarle, brother David Bruton and wife Marsha of Hamlet, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A brother Oscar Bruton preceded him in death.
