Virgie Harris a loving, caring mother left the earth peacefully after a few years of putting up a strong fight with heart disease. She was such a family oriented person. She was all about the kids. She devoted her entire life to her family. She was born in the mid 60s to the late Betty Joe Harris and Henry Harris In Bluefield WVA . She was an excellent basketball player & track star. She was one fighter who held on as long as she could. Virgie was such a sweet mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

In the early 80s she gave birth to 3 children. Kayla, Sheena & Gordon. She spent her life raising them and working a full time job. It wasn’t until they were grown and had their own kids, did she become a stay at home grandmother. She taught her grandkids many things that they will cherish to the end of time . She loved her sisters and brothers very much and always instilled that in them. Family was her life and that’s what made her truly happy.

She is preceded in death by her mother Betty Joe Harris, brothers Brian Bradley, Joe Harris and 2 twin brothers, Sammy and Stanley who died at birth. A few uncles, Art Harris, Jim Bob Bradley and Leroy Bradley, grandparents, Virgie Harris, Stanley Harris, Joseph Bradley and Helen Bradley.

Those left to cherish her memories are father Henry Harris of Tip-top, VA, one son, Gordon Harris of Roanoke, two daughters, Sheena Royal and Kayla Harris of Roanoke, long lifetime Partner Gordon Royal of Roanoke. Seven grandchildren, Taliyah Coleman, Mariah Harris, Kimora Russell, Maceo Russell and Jamaica Day all of Roanoke, two special sisters she loved so much, Cindy Harris (Dicky Harris) and Helen Harris (Ricky Harris) of Tip-top Virginia, 3 brothers, she held close to her heart, Stanley Harris, Itchy Harris (Henry Jr.), Sammie Harris, beautiful niece Tasha Harris of Charlotte NC and Sheena Harris of Bluefield WVA, nephews, Anthony Harris of Tip-top WVA, Leshawn Harris of Christiansburg, VA, Eric Harris of Colombia, Ohio, Gregory Harris of Columbus, Ohio, Jermaine Bradley of Rockbridge, NC, Special friends, Miesha Taylor, Dauris Hall, Joyann Sink all of Roanoke and a host of loving great nieces, nephews, cousins friends and family.
