Graduate of Denison University and member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. A long-time resident of St. Anthony Park in St. Paul, she was active in local and University of Minnesota organizations, including WAM, Minnesota Historical Society, Minnesota Symphony Orchestra, League of Women Voters An expert genealogist and historian, she had papers published by the Historical Society of Pennsylvania.
Predeceased by her parents Robert and Zorelda Dunlap and her brother Robin; first husband John Turnbull and second husband William Gerald Shepherd.
