Mr. Carson was born in The Bronx, New York, to Frank, Sr. and Sarah (Rolston) Carson. He was the oldest of eight children. He attended Cardinal Hayes High School in The Bronx where he played football, baseball and basketball. He was an Army combat veteran proudly serving two tours of duty during the Korean War Conflict. After the war, he married the love of his life, Eleanor Connolly. He joined the New York City Police Department, working twenty years on the force and retiring as Sergeant Detective. After retiring from the police department, he went to work for Nabisco Brands as Director of Security nationally and internationally. When he retired for good, he and his wife enjoyed their homes in Melbourne Beach and Upstate New York. Frank loved deep sea fishing, speed skating, the Boston Red Sox and the Washington Redskins but, above all else, he loved his family first and foremost. He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife, and sisters, Margaret Weaver and Anna Lee.
Mr. Carson is survived by his siblings, William (Josephine), Thomas (Barbara), James (Mary), Mary (Hank) Leonhard and John (Denise) Carson. Children: Deborah Kolb, Carol (Gino) DiCanio, Laura (Bruce) Dodge and Catherine (Jeffrey) Opderbeck. Nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services: Frederick J. Chapey & Sons Bethpage Funeral Home, Thursday, December 8, 2016 2-4 and 7-9. A Roman Catholic funeral mass will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 @ St. James R.C. Church at 9:15 AM.
