Daniel Walter Bahner, 85, formerly of 316 S. Fourth St., a retired teletype operator, died at 2:20 a.m. Saturday in the Doctors' Convalescent Center, Selinsgrove. Born at Roaring Creek Dec. 20, 1894, the son of the late Henry E. and Sadie F. Reitz Bahner. His wife, the former Lois M. Bird, died in 1973. He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Mr. Bahner was of the United Methodist faith and was a life-member of the Friendship Hose Company, Sunbury. His only survivor is a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Dusch of Montandon. The funeral will be conducted at 11 am. Wednesday in the Zweier Funeral Home, Sunbury, by the Rev. Jonathan P. Albright, pastor of the First Reformed United Church of Christ, Sunbury. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery, Shamo-kin Dam. Friends may call in the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9.
