Freddy was the son of the late Henry MacLeod and May (Adamson).

Survived by one daughter Valerie Adamson of Lincoln, one grandson Brett Adamson also of Lincoln and a half–brother Bruce. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sons John Robert and Alan Adamson.

He worked in the construction business from 1949–1958 at which time he started his own restaurant from 1958 to 1977. He was also employed with the Government for thirteen years.
