Funeral services for Mrs Hattie Brammer, 57 of Kurtz, will be conducted at 2:30 pm Tuesday from the Kurtz Church of the Nazarene with the Rev Dale Sidle, pastor in charge. Burial in Kurtz Cemetery. Friends may call anytime at Spurgeon Funeral Home at Brownstown.
Mrs Brammer, widow of George Brammer, died at 11 am Sunday at the home of a sister,
Mrs Melvina Hilleke, Medora, She had been in failing health for some time.
Mrs Brammer was born August 8,1905 at Kurtz, the daughter of the late James and Ellen Charles Edwards, In 1936 in Illinois she married Charles Matlock who died in 1948. She later married Mr
Brummer who proceeded her in death in 1957.
A life long resident of Jackson County, she was a member of the Kurtz Baptist Church at Kurtz.
Survivors include four stepsons, Charles Matlock of Terre Haute. Eldridge Brammer and Theron Brammer both of Virginia, and Roy Brummer of Columbus. Three stepdaughters Mrs. Fern Bottorff of Seymour, Edna Wyrick and Mrs Frances Clinton, both of Terre Haute, two brothers Gilbert Edwards of Scottsburg and Spencer Edwards of Shelbyville and two sisters Mrs Ora Martin of Indianapolis and Mrs Melvina Hilleke of Medora at whose home she died.
