STOCKWELL -- Linda L. Tabor, 62, of Stockwell, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at her residence after a long battle with cancer. Born Dec. 15, 1944, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of Mary Landes and the late Cleo Landes. She graduated from Clinton Prairie High School. Her marriage to James Tabor was June 14, 2002, and he survives. Mrs. Tabor had worked at Meijer, Purdue University and Marsh Supermarket and also was a beautician.
She was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed gardening and hummingbirds. Surviving with her husband and her mother, who lives in Dayton, are a son, Kevin Sherry of Lafayette; two daughters, Angela Romack of Lafayette and Vanessa Sherry of Dayton; five stepdaughters, Christy Tabor and Pat Sales (husband: Joey), both of Stockwell, Nancy Lewis (husband: Tom) of Monticello, Linda Gibson (husband: Kevin) of Franklin and Billie Hicks (husband: Adam) of Lafayette; a stepson, Christopher Tabor of Stockwell; two brothers, Wayne Landes and Tom Landes, both of Frankfort; and a sister, Pricilla Fossnock (husband: Frank) of Frankfort. Visitation 5-8 p.m. today at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service 2 p.m. Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall officiating. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Stockwell. Surviving are 15 grandchildren, Eric Biddle, Brice Romack, Jordan Romack, Zakerie Landes, Taylor Shoff, Brennan Shoff, Colby Sherry, Michael Corbin, Megan Corbin, Cole Tabor, Kamray Tabor, Kelsy Gibson, Shaun Butler, Jennifer Nelson, Shannon Chadwell; and 4 great-grandchildren.
