Jean E. De Maina, 82, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on September 13, 2007. She was born on December 1, 1924 in Southampton, Long Island, NY to Frank and Frances Edwards. Jean graduated from Ferdonia Teacher's College, NY in 1946, and also was a Teacher for the Madison School District, Phoenix, AZ for 20 years. Jean was a lifelong member of the American Association of University Women, Sun City Chapter and sang in the church choir where she was a lifelong active member. She is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth J. DeMaina, of 36 years; 2 sons Richard (Lisa) Peters and Phil Peters; 2 grandchildren Heather and Justin; 2 great-grandchildren Katherine and Charlotte and her sister Constance Herrick. The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM, Monday September 17, 2007, with Visitation beginning at 9:30 AM , ta the First Congregational Church, 18401 N. 99th Ave., Sun City, AZ. Memorial Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Association of University Women Treasurer-A.J. Bird, 13638 N. New Castle Dr. #163, Sun City, AZ 85351. 623-815-8150.
