Richard Wayne McCray, 53, of Salem, Va., passed away Friday, September 14, 2007. He was born December 7, 1953 in Roanoke son of Cleo Woodson McCray and the late William Preston McCray. Mr. McCray was a self employed Carpenter. In addition to his mother, Cleo W. McCray he is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Ralph Robinson; four brothers and sisters-in-law, David P. (Josh) McCray, William E. and Lolly McCray, Robert A. and Diane McCray, and Barry G. and Susan McCray; five nieces and one nephew; and special friends, Sam Ashworth and Donna Martin. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.johnmoakey.com.
