Sara Davis, age 77, a resident of Yazoo City, Mississippi (formerly of Newton), passed away on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Manhattan Nursing & Rehabilitation in Jackson, Mississippi, following a brief illness. Mrs. Sara was born August 3, 1943 in Dale County, AL to the late H.B. and Myrtle Parrish Burdick. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sara was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Johnson; three brothers-in-law, Bill Johnson, Johnny Turner and Bobby Vinson; a brother, Glen Burdick. Survivors include four sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg & Gwen Hawthorne of Yazoo City, MS, Bruce Hawthorne, Newton, Wayne Hawthorne, Bay County, FL and Ronald Kennedy, Bay County, FL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Ronald Dean of FL and Angie and Daniel Ross of Seymore, Indiana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Jean Burdick and Johnny and Debra Lynn Burdick, all of Quincy, FL. two sisters, Vivian Turner of Newton, Connie Vinson of Buffalo, SC. Family First Funeral Care of Dothan in charge.
