"SHERIDAN - Millie Jane Heiss Holt, of Sheridan, Ark., was born June 15, 1931, in Carlisle, Ark., the daughterof the late Charles Clarence and Evelyn Frances Wells Heiss. Ms. Jane went to be with her Lord on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at St. Vincent Doctor's Hospital-Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 76 surrounded by her family. She wasan active member of First Landmark Baptist Church where she served her Lord as Sunday School teacher for the Grace Sunday School Class, AWANA Secretary, Choir Member and Upward Basketball Volunteer. She was a nurse for Paulk Family Clinic for 20 years and worked 6 years at the Arkansas School for the Deaf. Ms. Jane was a loving and devoted Pastor's wife, having been preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jackie Holt, who died November 1979.

"She was also preceded in death by her son, Bob Holt, who died June 1996, and a brother, Clarence Heiss who died in 1944. Survivors: daughters, Nedra Holt and Lee Anne Holt both of Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Ginger Holt of Hot Springs; brother; Calvin Heiss and wife, Delores of Hot Springs; granddaughters, Emily and husband, Jamie Calhoun of Arkadelphia, Holly and husband Brian Johnson of Malvern, Juliana Holt of Missouri; great-grandchildren, Celeste Shultheiss; Holton Johnson, Rob Travis Calhoun and Matthew Calhoun.

"Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at First Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan with Dr. Dubs Byers, Rev. E. Lowe Stone, Rev. John Mooney and Bro. Phillip Heiss officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-9 p.m. at First Landmark Baptist Church.

"In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Landmark Baptist Church, Audio/Visual Ministry, 402 West Center, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.

"Pallbearers will be Kim Gartman, Jerry Ballard, Dub Winston, David Reynolds, Raymond Davis, John L. Crouse, Bruce Tipton, Mitch Baker, William Ashcraft and Roy Wayne Fleming. Honorary pallbearers will be all the Ladies of the Grace Sunday School Class.
