Spencer, Tennessee – Mr. Jimmie Edmon Green, 82, passed away Thursday October 1, 2020 at his home with his family at his bedside on his way to that great golf course in the Sky.

He was born in Dunlap, Tennessee on May 9, 1938 to Willie Green and Louella Hargis (Clarence) Madewell who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Vonna Moore and Samantha McKeehan; granddaughter, Jeannie Cravens; grandson, Tyler Green fisher; step-brother, J.B. Madewell.

He is survived by his wife, Lela Mooneyham Green; mother-in-law, Lattie Graham; children, Jimmy Eugene (Debbie) Green, Jeffery Allen Green, Elizabeth (Harry) Grissom, Lisa Gail Hargis, Ryan (Heather) Green; sisters, Edith (Wayne) Martin and Marie Sapp; brothers, Jr (Reene) Madewell, Bobby Madewell and Billy (Janie) Green; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; beloved pet Chewey Green.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Wayne Sullivan officiating with burial to follow in the Long Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM Saturday and Sunday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Layne Funeral Home, Spencer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
