Mrs. Dorothy Gray Lane, 89, of Benton, Kentucky passed away peacefully Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the Stilley House Assisted Living Facility in Benton, KY.
Dorothy was a member of Benton First United Methodist Church for 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Shelton of Benton; son-in-law David (Sandy) Henson; four Grandchildren Scott (Denae) Shelton of Calvert City, Nancy (Jeremiah) Mitchell of Cooper City, FL, Mark Henson of Benton, and Matt (Jessica) Henson of Benton; 8 great grandchildren, Emma & Ethan Shelton, Miah & Lucy Mitchell, Laney Henson, Colton, Conner & Carter Henson.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents Mark & Mattie Gray, her husband of 61 years, Sam Lane; sisters, Lala Johnston and Thelma Cassity; and daughters Cathy Ann Lane and Donna Lane Henson; and son-in-law Jim Shelton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, October 4, 2020 in the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, KY. Rev. Leah Howe, Pastor Benton First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until the funeral hour on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Interment will follow in Hematite Cemetery in Land Between the Lakes.
