Dave Davis, 84, passed away September 22, 2020 at home in Cedar City, Utah. Preceded in death by Alice (wife) and Diana (Daughter) and Shirley (girlfriend). Survived by, and will be greatly missed by Marie, Janet, Ida, Ron and Wayne (children), their spouses -Bill, Mike, Lisa, Debbie, - 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, Rudy and Ella (siblings).

He was born June 22, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA. He went to Lincoln High School and lettered as a gymnast. He met the love of his life in high school (Alice Loya), but she wouldn’t date him until after they graduated. They were married February 12, 1956. He always put Alice first and Alice always put Dave first. By the time they were 27 they had 6 children. They both loved babies and children, so it was only natural that they were extremely happy. Dave worked for the Dept of Water & Power for 35 years and was a good provider for his family: they wanted for nothing. Favorite family memories include camping in the mountains and Ensenada, fishing, playing games (indoor and outdoor), and always sitting together every night for dinner. Many nights the family would stay gathered at the table while Daddy played the piano or guitar. They would sing Beatle songs, folk songs, and make up their own songs. When the kids were teenagers, they worked at the toy store that Alice owned. They were busy times, but cherished times. Dave was not only loved by his children, but by all his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and by every child in the neighborhood. He always made time when they needed him. To some of the kids he was a “father figure”. Even when Dave had to scold them, they loved him and respected him. Dave was also a great son, grandpa, brother, cousin and friend. When he retired, he and Alice moved to Cedar City, UT. He loved woodworking and would spend endless hours in his workshop. Dave made many wooden toys for his kids and grandkids. He loved to tell stories and jokes. He would say “did I tell you…” and we’d say “YES!”, but he’d tell it anyway. We heard the same stories a thousand times. Dave’s most used phrases were “GOOD DEAL”, “KEEN”, “WE HAD A BALL”. We’d love to hear them again!

Services: 10/9/20, 10am at Christ The King Catholic Church, burial to follow. Final arrangements are under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
