Garry Lee Laney of Bentonville passed away on October 10, 2020. He was born on April 5, 1948 in Carthage, Missouri to the late Charles and Pauline (Alumbaugh) Laney. Garry will be remembered as a hard worker who was proud to serve his country and community. After joining the ROTC during high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he retired after 22 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Bella Vista American Legion. Garry worked many different jobs over the years, and dedicated himself to each one, including driving transport, cabinetry, and even pizza delivery. He was a member of Hope Church in Bentonville. His survivors include his wife of 11 years, Irene Laney; children, Mike Laney, Dustin Waite, Shanna Powell, Laurel Barrin; grandchildren, Amy, Ann, Caleb, Jacob, Bo, K.C.; and sisters, Cassandra Buckner, and Jayne Nagy. He was preceded in death by children, Linda McIntosh, Douglas McIntosh, Karl Ninscore, and a sister, Jayme Hartman.
