Helen was originally from Portland, Oregon where she was born on July 28, 1923 to the late Hattie Marie and Roy Oscar Emerick. While working as a clerk at the military base she met and married the late Charles Lee Evans from Cleveland TN.
After moving to Cleveland in 1978 Helen made many wonderful friends while working for the Forest Service and through her membership at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her only son, Chuck Lee Evans and wife, Kathleen of Cleveland; and grandsons, Eric Evans, Matthew (Angela) Evans and Christopher (Sarah) Evans, all from Cleveland and Colby Lee Evans of Elizabethtown, KY. Helen was also blessed with seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Ramon Torres officiating.
