Beverly A. Hemphill Willis, 74, of Lake City, formerly of Dunedin, FL, passed away peacefully at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center after an extended illness. She was born in Safety Harbor, FL to the late Owen and Pearl Downs Thomas. She has made the Lake City area her home since 2002 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She retired from Verizon after 35 years and in her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and traveling. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and they were her world. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Marvis A. "Buddy" Hemphill; four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years of Lake City; 2 sons, 1 sister, Her 5 grandchildren along with her 3 great grandchildren, Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.(Names of living withheld per FAG guidelines)

Interment was at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery in Clearwater, FL.
