Louisville - Mary Delores "Mammaw" Hester, 90 of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
She retired from Wyatt, Tarrant and Combs Law Firm as a switch board operator. She was known as Mammaw to everyone who knew her. Mammaw was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She had many friends at Traditions at Beaumont where she was an avid poker and bingo player.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Hester, her parents, Paul and Anna Gries, three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her children, Bill Hester (Mary), Kevin Hester (Tina) and Pam Greenwell, her grandchildren, Krista (Brad), Heather (Matt), Kevin II (Sarah), Matt (Whitney) and Lindsey (Robin) and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 15th, from 4-8pm at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Funeral Mass will be 9am Thursday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3521 Goldsmith Ln, Louisville, KY 40220. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
