Jerry and his brothers, David and Gary, were raised by their wonderful parents Dena and Gilbert in Covington, Kentucky and then in Parma, Ohio.

It was here that Jerry met the love of his life, Mary Lou. Their love grew from their first kiss to a marriage of 53 years. It also produced four amazing children, Jennifer, Barbara, Adam and Laura. The family was then increased by the addition of three great son in-laws Robert, Matthew and Michael and his remarkable granddaughters Lisa and Shannon.

Jerry retired from Energizer after 30 years, but his most precious times were spent with his family: the afternoons he spent with his children and grandchildren playing games, exploring the Metroparks or coaching T-Ball. Jerry and Mary Lou hunting for that special treasure at the flea market or the perfect hamburger. Jerry truly enjoyed the simple things in life. The consummate tinkerer, he loved working on cars and any other mechanism that crossed his path. When not doing that you would find him in his recliner watching a movie with popcorn and Pepsi. We sadly lost a good man. There are not enough words to convey the deep sorrow of our loss, but we know that his legacy will be carried on with strength, grace, and kindness towards others.

Private interment as he requested. A celebration of remembrance is being planned for the future. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations in his memory to the Cuyahoga County Public Library (2111 Snow Rd. Parma Ohio 44134) of which he was an avid patron of the Parma Heights branch. Cremation by Busch Crematory.
