Don F. Turner passed away at his home in Barling, AR on Thursday September 24th. He was 84 years old. He was born on April 23, 1936 in Wing, AR to Fay and Juanita Turner. As a teenager he participated in sports specifically track and basketball. He lived in many states traveling with his father working on various dam and construction sites. They always came home to Wing, Ar to their home place. He had lots of stories to share. He graduated from Fourche Valley. He attended Arkansas Tech. He met and married the love of his life Sarah. They were married 64 years. He had 30 plus years of service with the Arkansas Department of Transportation . He was the Maintenance Superintendent for District 4 until his early retirement to spend time with his family. They have two children a son Leo Glenn (Buddy) Turner and his wife Barbara of Van Buren. A daughter Sharon F. Core and her husband Kendal Core of Sperry, Ok. They have four grandchildren Casey Turner , Dustin Turner, Kansas Core and Kaley Core . They have two great grandchildren Corbin Turner and Alex Turner. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. He spent many years around rodeos taking his wife and daughter to rodeos and barrel races and loved every moment of it. There will be a Life Celebration with a date to be determined. His presence will be greatly missed until we reunite again.
