Darrell Dale Oliver was born on September 26, 1937 in La Crosse, WI to Leslie and Constance Oliver. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966. Darrell worked for 17 years in the Pennington Co. Sheriffs Department in Rapid City, SD and later as a civilian mechanic at Ellsworth Air Force Base.

Children-Tina Smith, Terry Hooker, Steven (Kimberly) Oliver, and Michael Oliver; step-daughter-Linda Plett; brother-Duane Oliver; and a sister-Bonnie Clark; 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-Larry, sisters-Audrey, Eloda, Wanda, Yvonne, and Donna; wife of 33 years Rose Mary Oliver, wife of 18 years Marlene Oliver; and a step-son-Dale Hurtig.
