Reverand Edward Bertel Carter departed this life on September 27, 2020 following a lengthy illness.
He had lived in Houston for over forty years but had returned to his native Baton Rouge.
He is survived by his three children, Marvette Thomas, Cedric Carter, and Bridgette Wolfe ; two siblings, Curtis Carter and Marian Jeffery; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward "June" Carter and Alice Haynes Carter.
