Edward Perry Barber, 95, of 3572-D Shepherd Road, Elon died on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
A native of Taunton, Massachusetts he was the husband of the late Ruby Virginia Farris Barber and the son of Joseph B. Barber and Charlotte Perry Barber, both deceased. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force serving during World War II. Edward was a supervisor with Western Electric. He was a member of Trinity Worship Center.

He is survived by a son, Ronald Edward Barber and wife Judith of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Hollie Dean and husband Ricky of Elon and Michele Hetzel and husband Dave of Flowery Branch, Georgia; six great grandchildren, Joshua Dean and wife Elizabeth, Amanda D. Smith and husband Joshua, Brittany Tyndall and Chuckie Garner, Madalyn Hetzel, Gunnar Hetzel, and Kaitlyn Hetzel; three great great grandchildren, Charlee Garner, Tucker Smith, and Cooper Dean; and a sister, Javina "Elsie" Andrade.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Aurora "Julia" Pinto, Mary Brink, and Nora Frank; and three brothers, Joseph P. Barber, Charles P. Barber, and Frank P. Barber.

Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
