Mark Edward Fisher, 52, of Waverly, Iowa, and previously from Ellington, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Waverly Health Center.

Mark was born on August 9, 1968, in Reynolds County, Missouri, the son of Shirley Jean (Yates) and George Edward Fisher. He attended school and graduated from Ellington High School.

He later took classes at University of Missouri and earned his Fire One Certification while proudly serving as a voluntary fire fighter for the Ellington Fire Department.

Mark was a semi-truck driver for various companies and recently was a delivery driver for GoPuff in Ames. Also, he previously worked for different sawmills and lumberyards in Missouri.

Mark was an amateur PBRA bull rider.

He enjoyed restoring, and buying and selling classic cars; he probably owned at least 300 over the years!

He was also interested in learning about WWI and WWII. He watched movies and documentaries on the wars, read about them and assembled model tanks and airplanes.

Mark is survived by a son, John Edward (Leanne Hulbert) Fisher of Waverly; a daughter, Caitlyn Ellington of Ottumwa, Kansas; two grandchildren, Lane Edward Fisher and Ava Campbell; a grandson on the way; two brothers, Craig (Becky) Fisher of Cole Camp, Missouri and Brian (Billie) Fisher of Pilot Grove, Missouri; a sister, Tracy Trude of Willow Springs, Missouri; two nephews, Garrett and Marshall Fisher; and three nieces, Madison Fisher, Dallas Peterson and Hanna Trude.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly.
Mark’s body will be cremated following the visitation.
