Logan Hall Marlow, Jr., 79, and his wife Carolyn Sue Marlow, 74, both of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away September 29, 2020. Logan and Carolyn were grade school sweethearts and were married in November of 1962. Together they had two sons, Chris, Matt, and a daughter, Ashley.

Logan and Carolyn are survived by their three children, Chris Marlow and wife Candace of Bluford, Matt Marlow of Mount Vernon, and Ashley Marlow and fiancé , Larry Owens of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren, Zack Marlow of Bluford, Adalyn Owens of Mount Vernon, and Jameson Owens of Mount Vernon; Logan's brothers, Paul Marlow and wife, Johnnie of Carterville, Mike Marlow and wife, Sue of Texas, and Rick Marlow and wife, Jewell of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

They were preceded in death by Logan's parents, Logan and Cleo (Pasley) Marlow; Carolyn's parents, Noel Arthur and Oleta Lois (Minor) French; and Carolyn's brother, Norman French.

Logan Hall Marlow, Jr. was born September 25, 1941 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He worked as a journeyman and electrician for IBEW and was a member of IBEW Local #702. He was also a board member for Hopewell Cemetery, and enjoyed quail hunting in his spare time.

Carolyn Sue Marlow was born January 5, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She earned her teaching degree from SIU and worked as a school teacher for Dodds Grade School and later worked for Field Grade School until retirement. She was a member of the Teacher's Union and a past member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church where she played the piano for many years.

Together they spent many joyous years together and shared their love with their family, friends, and even their dog Buddie. What they treasured the most were their grandchildren. Logan and Carolyn were beloved by many and will be missed dearly by all whose lived they touched.

A Visitation for both Logan and Carolyn will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Central Christian Church in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am at the church with Reverend John Ashby officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Logan and Carolyn's honor to Hopewell Cemetery.
