Randy passed away suddenly and unexpectedly as a result of complications of injuries due to a motorcycle wreck that he had on August 29th.

Randy drilled it into our heads that blood does not always make a family. He treasured his friends and they became his family. Every friend he had has known him for 30 years plus. His "family" spent most of their time in his garage talking shit and laughing at his antics. He always had the tv on watching endless episodes of Criminal MInds or whatever old series was on that free channel off the antenna. I will never be able to get the CHiPs theme song out of my head now. If you came over with a problem, he would always give you a piece of advice and the cold hard uncomfortable truth followed by a loving "Dumbass". That seemed to be his favorite word. I know many looked forward to his fun pictures he sent randomly at all hours of the night and we truly missed his commentary which would have been glorious on the first debate between President Trump and that other guy. You never ever doubted where you stood with Randy.. if he liked you well you knew it and he would do anything for you. If he didn't, you also knew it. His "sister" found this out many years ago and she is the reason he always told us "blood doesn't make you family." He also believed in Karma and I am sure that will be visiting her as well.

Jeanne Peeler Edwards was Randy's mom, and she passed away in December 1997. Randy's brother and best friend was Bill Wilkey who proceeded him in death in 2018. Randy never fully recovered from his death and 2020 would prove to be even harder with the death of his other brother Brad Love and also his good friend Robert Cooper.

Randy is survived by his sweet baby girl Rat who came into his life in 2013. She showed up when he needed her the most and she helped him through some very dark times and health scares. She misses him terribly. His family will miss him and our fall chili dinners, shrimp and scallops wrapped in bacon, and really every thing that made him Randy. His was one of a kind for sure.
