The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Oct. 4 at Eastridge Church of Christ 670 N. Stodghill Rd. Rockwall.
Phil was born in Electra to Paul and Mary Harper on July 14, 1930. He grew up in Bowie and attended Bowie High School. His life long career was in the automotive repair business.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Harper, Bowie.
He is survived by his brother, Tim Harper and wife, Sandra, Springtown; sisters, Loretta Mattix, Brownwood and Jane Slade both of Bowie; sons, Tony Harper, Bowie, Stephen Harper and wife, Laura, Benbrook; daughters, Denise and Judy; stepson, Christopher Schuyler and wife, Bri, Rowlett.
Phil loved life, people and good times. We will all miss him very much.
