She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Sullivan; loving mother of Michael and his wife, Maria Sullivan, Jeanne and her husband Steven Jones, James and his wife, Elizabeth Sullivan, and Jennifer and her husband, Aaron Saarela; cherished grandmother of Shannon, Lauren, Dennis, Meghan, Marissa, Penelope, and George; dear sister of the late Joseph, George, and James Driscoll.
Born in Brooklyn, Rosemary moved to Fairfield in 1965. She attended Fontbonne Hall Academy, St. Vincent's Hospital School of Nursing, Caldwell University, and Montclair State University.
She was an RN for the Pediatric Associates of West Essex before becoming a school nurse for the Montville Board of Education, caring for the students at Woodmont and Hilldale elementary schools. She loved being a school nurse and helping her community, and she was named Educator of the Year by the PTA prior to her retirement.
Rosemary was very proud of her faith, Irish heritage and being from Brooklyn. She was an avid Yankees, Giants, and college basketball fan.
Funeral is on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, N.J. Funeral Mass is Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church. Entombment is in Gate of Heaven Garden Mausoleum. Friends will be received Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m.
