She attended and graduated Stonehill and Lincoln High School. She retired from 20 years of dedicated service at Campbell Soup. Marie was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. She served tirelessly as a member of many capacities such as class two, the sanctuary choir, mass choir, women's missionary society, stewardess board three, culinary committee and pastor's aide ministry. Marie was also a member of the Eastern Star St. Paul Lodge.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Roland (Debra) and John "Tubby" (Tasha Gardner); grandchildren, Amber Greene, Sherry Jones, Latoya Greene and Meiko Peoples; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Gardenia Myers and Mary Weeks; two special caregivers, Kee-Kee Vaughn and Hospice Nurse Karen Yates; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by a son, Leroy; a great-grandson, Elijal Washington; and two nieces, Dynia Westbrook and Tammy Graham
