Billie Rose Simmons, 69 died Sunday September 27, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was born December 7, 1950 at her home in Elizabeth, Indiana, the daughter of Willard O. and Mildred L. Brown Simmons. Billie worked at Metro Answering Service and attended Depauw United Methodist Church in Elizabeth, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Butch, George, Sherman, three sisters; Lisa, Linda, Ann, three nephews; Alex, Jordan, Brian.
She is survived by one brother, David N. Simmons ( Violet) of Guston, Kentucky, six sisters; Margaret Simmons of Elizabeth, Indiana, Carmen Haag (Allan) of Elizabeth, Indiana, Diane Simmons (Louie) of Elizabeth, Indiana, Rhonda Babcock of Elizabeth, Indiana, Katrina Heitkemper (Robert) of Elizabeth, Indiana, Shirley Noe of Elizabeth, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Saturday October 3, 2020 at 2pm at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana. Visitation will be Friday October 2, 2020 from 2pm-8pm and again on Saturday from 9am until service time.
The Family request memorial donations be made to Harrison County community Foundation, Memo Line – Alex Simmons Memorial Scholarship Fund or The Evans Landing Cemetery Fund.
Due to Covid-19 mask must be worn in the building and no food can be brought into the building.
