Mrs. Wilma Doris Thomas Cox, age 92, of Rome passed away Monday September 28 2020, in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Cox was born December 18, 1927 in Calhoun, a daughter of the late Arvie Thomas, and Burges Thomas. She was a member of Curville Baptist Church, and was retired from Georgia Textile. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Cox, brothers, Allen Thomas, Wayne Thomas, sisters, Margie Peppers, Virginia Rogers, Clara Shaw, Linda Hunt, two son in law, Wayne and Larry.

Survivors include, son, Jerry (Elaine) Sewell, Phil Sewell, daughters, Christine (Farril) Ray, Dixie Carver, Janice Howard, Ellen (Larry) Pierce, brothers, Clavin, Paul, Jimmy and Larry Thomas, sisters, Barbara Ann Paris, Gail Wilson, Judy Turner, 10 grandchildren, number of great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday September 30, 2020 at East View Cemetery, in Adairsville, with Rev. Farril Ray officiating.

Pallbearers include, Bennie White, Terry White, Lee White, and Tony Ray.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Fifth Avenue Health and Rehab.
