Ruth was passionate about the career she had chosen as a nurse. It was fitting for her because she was very compassionate with a big heart and loved everyone. She was a nurse at Princeton Community Hospital for several years. She was a Director of Nursing at a nursing home in Georgia until becoming disabled.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Eunice Cheeks and one brother, Gale Lester.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, April Michelle Frankmann and husband Jon of Nashotah, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Allison Michelle Frankmann and Evan George Frankmann, whom she loved and was very proud of; siblings, Martha Nagle and husband Louis of Indiantown, Florida, Helen Patton and husband Jack of Princeton, West Virginia, Michael Lester of North Carolina, Joe Lester, Jr. and wife Sandra of Princeton, West Virginia, David Lester of Ball Ground, Georgia and Douglas Dotson of Princeton, West Virginia; her lifelong friend, Chris Jackson of Iaeger, West Virginia who was like a sister and loved very much. Ruth loved being “Nanny C” to her nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Cletus Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour. The family requests that masks be worn at the funeral home.
