Christine Adeline Sheppard, 90, of Carterville, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Shawnee Senior Living in Herrin.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville.
Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville.
Christine was born September 21, 1930, in Charleston, South Carolina, to George and Adeline Ann (White) Petit.
She married William "Bill" Logan Sheppard and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2009.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy of Carterville, Linda of Herrin and Terri (Brent) of DeSoto; sons, Robert (Marie) of Goose Creek, South Carolina and W. Sheppard Jr. of Manning, South Carolina; brother, C. Petit of Ladson, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grandchildren; and her beloved animals.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joyce Cyr; son, Richard Larsen; grandson, Elliot Larsen; and granddaughter, Cindy (Ronnie) Weihl.
She was the secretary for her husband's auto shop, Sheppard Automotive, for years.
