Anna Wells, age 89, of Danville, Kentucky, passed away February 25, 2018, in Danville, Kentucky. She was born August 18, 1928, in Huntington, West Virginia, to the late David and Mary Gibson Smith. She worked in a factory for most of her life and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

 

Surviving are: a son, Alan Wells, of Danville; a daughter, Penny Griffin, of Lexington; five grandchildren, Kelly Dryden, Courtney Combs, Cody Griffin, Sara Wells and Alan Wells Jr.; and four great-grandchildren, Carmeron, Carson, Zachary and Zahi. She was preceded in death by: a son, James Wells; two brothers, Gary Smith and Benny Smith; and a sister, Margaret Burgess.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Danville, with Bishop Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the church.
