Kathy Jo Jones (Floyd) was born on March 21, 1969 in Glasgow, Montana to Bob and Trixie Floyd of Opheim, Montana. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family on August 28, 2020 at their home in Wickenburg, Arizona.
Growing up, Kathy enjoyed a childhood of horses, family and friends on the family ranch west of Opheim. On May 30, 1992 she married Dr. Troy Jones and settled in Livingston, Montana. It was there where they welcomed their daughter, McKenzie in 1995, and son, Connor in 1997. In 2000, the Jones family moved to Wickenburg, Arizona to open a dental practice and enjoy the warm weather.
Kathy's favorite place was at the family condo in San Carlos, Mexico watching the waves crash and taking long walks on the beach with her husband. The four of them traveled every chance they got. As the kids grew up, these trips included fishing in Mexico or Alaska, hunting in Arizona, or spending time with friends and family in the northern states. Kathy was an avid picture taker, capturing every moment that she could in order to look back on fond memories. She was the most beautiful woman, devoted wife, caring mother, dependable friend, and fun party host. If you knew Kathy, you knew that she lived every day without regret, having as much fun as she could along the way.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Troy Jones of Wickenburg, AZ; her daughter, McKenzie Long (Jones) and her husband Cody Long of Murfreesboro, TN; her son, Connor Jones of Wickenburg, AZ; her mother, Trixie Floyd; her siblings Teresa Rolfson, Susan Landers and Bruce Floyd; and many loving in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Kathy is predeceased by her father, Robert Floyd; and little brother, Robert Bruce Floyd.
A memorial funeral service and reception will be announced at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions in Kathy's name be sent to the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts in Wickenburg.
