ROSHARON - Mr. Dennis E. Butler passed from this life Friday evening, September 25, 2020, in Pearland.
Dennis was born on September 28, 1952 in Prescott, Arkansas to Wilton and Bessie (Brown) Butler.
He was a loving father who supported his family as a truck driver for over 30 years. He enjoyed traveling around the United States especially on his motorcycle. He was the ultimate history buff and liked reading and learning about WWII. In his leisure time Dennis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf, practicing woodworking; and watching the Astros – his favorite team. He was lovingly called “Grampy” by his grandchildren. Dennis will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Bruce Jenkins.
Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Mary Butler; daughter Denise Rosas and husband, Rene; son, Mitchell Butler and wife, Annika; step-daughter, Barbara Livly and husband, David; brothers, David Sanders and wife, Mary, Eddie Sanders, Charles Sanders and wife, Joyce, Jimmy Sanders and wife, Katie, Michael Sanders; brother-in-law, Herbert “Dutch” Waige and wife, Carolyn; longtime friend and mother of his children, Sarah Braquet and husband, Dana; grandchildren, Renner, Rebeca, Charlotte, Alex, Emma, step-grandchildren Angel, David Jr., Violet, Crystal; 1 great-grandchild on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Judi Wilds officiating.
Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Dennis’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
