Funeral services for Margaret Jean Proctor, 86, of Fairview, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 2, 2020 at the Fairview Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ricky Chance officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview.
Margaret Jean French was born on May 24, 1934 at Carmi, Illinois to Giltner and Tilda French. She departed this life on Saturday evening, September 26, 2020 at Enid, Oklahoma.
Margaret married Billy Proctor on September 1, 1950 at Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Margaret had worked for many years at C.R. Anthony’s Store in Fairview. She was a longtime member of the Fairview Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed working in her yard and the close friendship she had with many especially her neighbor Darla.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billy Proctor, daughter Barbara Jean McEntire; five brothers, Arnold French, Marion French, Jerry French, John French and an infant brother; two sisters, Judy Wissler and Kay Sandidge;
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy DeBoer, Teresa Harston and husband Mike and Vickie Stewart and husband Scott; nine grandchildren, Eddie McEntire, Jennifer McEntire, Dustin McEntire, Mindy McEntire, Justin McEntire, Josh DeBoer, Chris Ruppel, Lindsay Tice and Shelbi Stewart; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Allen French; three sisters, Virginia DeDoming, Marie York and Leona Julian and husband Carl; and many other extended family.
