Marilyn E. Lee age 88 of Upper Sandusky, died at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Sun. Sept. 27, 2020. She was born on Mar. 9, 1932 in Upper Sandusky to the late Charles and Mabel (Binau) Pfeifer. She married James Lee on December 26, 1954, he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1996. Marilyn is survived by sons Russell (LuAnn) Lee, Upper Sandusky, Alan (Sheri) Lee, Mt. Vernon and Mark (Kayleen) Lee, Sandusky, grandchildren Melissa (Ryan) Summit, Nick (Stefanie) Lee, Shad (Melanne) Acker, Ty (BJ) Acker, Derrick (Amber) Lee, Lisa Goodright, Jared Lee, eight great grandchildren Evelyn Lee, James Lee, Gabby Acker, Ian Acker, Weston Goodright, Ensley Goodright, Kyler Lee and Cora Lee. She was preceded in death by her sisters Juanita Billeg and Martha Yost.
Marilyn graduated from Upper Sandusky class of 1950 and received her Bachelor degree in Education from Capital University. She taught elementary education in the area and then religious education for 30 plus years. Marilyn was a member of the former North Salem Lutheran Church where she was the organist, junior choir director, Sunday School teacher, served on several committees and active member of the women of ELCA. She later became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church when they consolidated with North Salem. Marilyn was a Charter member of Beta Usando Literary Club and active in Wyandot County Senior Citizens. For hobbies she enjoyed swimming, water skiing, playing cards and spending time with family.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday September 30, 2020 at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Barry Halter Jr. officiating. Burial will be held at North Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until time of service on Wednesday at the church. Visitation will also be Tuesday September 29, 2020 from 4pm-7pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wyandot Cares (Religious Education) Wyandot County Nursing Home, Activity Fund or Upper Sandusky Food Pantry in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E.
