CHRISTOPHER RUDY ROY APODACA, 13, of San Juan, died Wednesday at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born Feb. 13, 1989, in Las Vegas, N.M., to Patrick P. Apodaca and Charmaine Michelle Grossetete. A lifelong Catholic, he was a member of the San Miguel del Vado Church in San Miguel. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Rita Grossetete and Mary Chavez; niece, Iesha Michelle Lucero; aunt, Carol Grossetete; and uncle, Floyd Grossetete. He is survived by maternal grandfather, Johnny Grossetete of Ribera; paternal grandfather, Pedro Apodaca of Mora County; father, Patrick Apodaca of Ribera; mother, Charmaine Grossetete of Albuquerque; brothers, Patrick P. Lucero and wife, Juanita, of San Juan, and Jeremiah Apodaca of Ribera; sister, Andrea Apodaca of Ribera; Godparents, Rose and Roy Gallegos of Villanueva; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the San Miguel Del Vado Church in San Miguel. Burial will follow at the San Miguel Del Vado Cemetery. Rogers Mortuary.
